Why is it that when we ask strangers to take some pictures for us, they happen to be the worst photographers in the world????
なんで旅行中に知らない人に写真を撮ってもらうとその人たちにかぎって写真オンチなんだ！！？
Let me show you why.
なぜそう思うか見せてあげよう。
This was the kind of picture I wanted someone to take for me. これが撮ってほしかった写真。
But WHAT IS THIS???
しかし、これは一体何だ！？？
Why is the picture diagonal? Where is the Big Ben tower? Why the heck is the black construction box in the background?
I never asked that to be in the picture.
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING???
なんで写真が斜めなんだ？ビッグ・ベンの塔はどこに行ったんだ？
後ろに移っている工事の人たちが一休みするような黒いプレハブはなんだ？？
一体何を撮ろうとしたんだ？？
AND WHAT IS THIS???
そして何だこれはっっ！？？
What am I looking at??こんな写真頼んでないぞ？？

This was taken really nicely. これがよく撮れてる写真。
Where did the half of the temple go??? Why is the ground dominating the picture?神殿が半分しか写ってないぞ！！
なんで地面が写真の半分を占めているんだ？

This looks normal...これは普通に撮れているように見えるが。。。
But THIS is what they COULD HAVE TAKEN if they used their brains.
しかしもうちょっと頭使えば、

What did we go to Las Vegas for??ラスベガスに何しに行ったんだか。。。
Seriously, why does this happen so many times? When I want someone to take a picture, I purposefully ask someone who doesn't look creepy and unintelligent (and trust me, that is NOT an easy thing to do). And this seems to work nicely. But at least once out of three times, I get these kind of pictures. So it must be that more than one third of tourists in the world are terrible photographers.
っていうか、こういうことが何で何回も起こるかね？知らない人に写真撮ってもらうときは、しっかりしてて、頭良さそうな人に頼むようにしてる（そういう人見つけるのって案外難しい）けど、３回に１回はこういう写真を撮られちゃう。という事は、世界中の観光客の３分の１以上の人たちが写真撮るのがヘタだということになってしまう。

I find that partly it is because they are just plain bad photographers, but also the fact that each camera has a different dynamic on how the shutter closes when you push the button contributes. Some buttons are stickier than the other, some shutters are slower or have delays, depending on their ability to autofocus. but yes, people seem to have uncanny ability to enmasse majority of the picture with asphalt.
