Previously, I posted a blog about Hugo wearing a helmet.
Some of you may be feeling sorry for him.
But actually he's doing great with the helmet.
So I'm posting some videos here
(as well as the pictures that you can see using the link here)
to show you how happy Hugo has been even though he's wearing a helmet.
最近は慣れたせいか、やらなくなったが、息を顔に吹くと凄いリアクションが。
He doesn't do this anymore, but this is what used to happens when you blow into his face.
Q家の家にあるピアノに初挑戦。とりあえず、食べてみる。
Hugo tries to play with the piano for the first time.
最近は物をぶつけあって、音を出すのが好きだ。
ちなみにビデオの中で聞こえる変な歌声はラルクのハイドだ。

Hugo still likes to laugh a lot.
2週間前にヘルメット先生の会いにいったが、彼によると、
頭の形はすでに60%完治らしい。早いものだ。
The helmet doctor informed us two weeks ago that
his head shape is 60% more symmetric than it used to be.
拓ちゃんと一緒に近くにあるBYUのNatural Science Museumに遊びに行った。
正美ちゃんはその間、フリータイム。
Hugo and I went for a walk and decided to visit the BYU Naturak Science Musuem close to our apartment. Masami had a free time on her own.

BYUには5年近く行くがここに行くのは始めて。情けない。
正美ちゃんはS家とかと一緒にすでに訪問済。
I've been at BYU for five years but I've never had a chance to visit this place. I should be ashamed. Masami already visited this place with "S" family. I was the only one who hasn't visited.
でも、ワォ。と思うものがたくさんあって楽しかった。
There were lot of "interesting" stuff. It was really fun.
でも、拓ちゃんと時間過ごせたのが一番嬉しかった。
But I think the best part was the fact that I was able to be with Hugo for a while.
拓賢くんは2月の始めあたりから、ヘルメットをつけている。
As many of you know, Hugo has been wearing a medical helmet since the beginning of February.

頭の形が対象でないため、形を整えるために
ヘルメットを着用。今ある形を強制的に変えるのではなく、
これから大きくなる頭に合わせて整えるのだ。
He is wearing to make his head more symmetrical.
The medical helmet isn't intended to forcibly change his current head shape. Rather, we are allowing his head to grow into the right shape.

Apparently, it's quite accurate.
もうつけてから6週間ぐらいになる。

It was about this time Hugo started to eat baby foods.
特にお水が好きらしい。
He especially likes to drink water using straw.
寝返りとか、ハイハイとかうまくなりました。
He's gotten better with rolling and reaching to stuff.
バレンタインデーのブログといっても、もうすぐホワイトデーなんですが...(苦笑)。

正美ちゃんへのサプライズプレゼント
Surprise present for Masami
正美ちゃんがスクラッチから全て作ってくれたスパゲティ。
Delicious spaghetti that Masami made from scratch... yes scratch.
去年は正美ちゃんが妊娠でつわりがあるにもかかわらず、
こったスカバンジャー・ハントを計画したが、
今年は自分は論文などで忙しく、あんましできんかった。
まぁ、喜んでくれたので、嬉しい。
Last year, I planned scavanger hunt despite the fact that Masami was
heavily suffering from morning sickness for her pregnancy.
This year, I was so caught up in my Master's Project so giving her a gift
was the only thing I could do. But she loved it so thats all good.

We decided to have dinner with the "C" and "M" families
over at "C" residence.
C家とM家と一緒にディナーを楽しもうということで、
C家が心良く家を提供してくれた。
正美ちゃんは、M&C家はよく一緒遊んだりするのだが、
我が輩ははじめて。楽しかった。ありがとう。
Masami gets to hang out them with them often while I'm at school.
It was a lot of fun.
