今日(一月十九日)は有名なフランス画家ポール・セザンヌの誕生日である。
He was said to form the bridge between late 19th century Impressionism and the early 20th century's new line of artistic enquiry, Cubism. Cézanne was my influence when I studied art years ago.
ポスト印象派として紹介されることが多く、キュビスムをはじめとする
20世紀の美術に多大な影響を与えた名高い画家だ。
Although I'm still green in the field of artistic discipline, I thought I'd pay
a tribute to Cézanne by designing the website main page after him.
未熟である自分だが、そんな彼に弔辞を述べるため
このサイトのメインページのデザインのテーマを彼にあててみた。
I've used images of my own paintings along with
the portrait of Cézanne to create layered image.
セザンヌの自画像と自分が描いた絵を使って色んなレイヤー画を作ってみた。
On this banner, I've artists that were either mentor/predecessors of Paul Cézanne including Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, etc. The catch phrase is "What impresses you?" of which the idea was taken from the artistic movement "Impressionism."こちらの小さなバナーにはカミーユ・ピサロやアルフレッド・シスレーなどのセザンヌの前任者や師を載せた。キャッチフレーズは「What impresses you?」(あなたに感銘を与える(印象づける)ものは何か?)。もちろんこれは美術及び芸術運動の一つである「印象派」からとっている。
I also updated the FINE ART page of the website.
