Washington DC (Part 1): Traveling

Two weeks ago, we went to Washington DC for business trip.

We've never been to DC so Masami and Hugo came along with me and took three day vacation after all the meetings were over.
DCには行ったこともないので、正美ちゃんと拓賢も一緒に来てもらい、会議終了後3日間観光してきた。


This was Hugo's first time traveling on the plane. I hope this was a good practice for us because the flight will be almost as three times as longer when we return to Japan.
拓賢にとって飛行機に乗るのは初めて。日本に帰る時には3倍近く長く飛行機にのってないといけないので良い練習になった。。。かな?


Hugo was very curious about outside view.
とにかく飛行機の外の眺めには興味を示していた。

So anyway, I'm going to do another series here for Washington DC trip.
I'm guessing that there will be about 6 parts.
Oh, and by the way, the Las Vegas series hasn't finished yet. Better work on those soon.
と、いうことでワシングトンDCシリーズの始まりです。
たぶん、PART6ぐらいまであるかなぁ。
あ、ちなみにラスベガスシリーズも終わっていないので悪しからず(苦笑)。

Hugo swims

This Summer, Hugo was able to swim a little bit.
今年の夏、拓賢と一緒に少しだけだが、泳ぐことができた。


This Summer is his first time swimming.
拓賢が泳いだのは今年がはじめて。




He wasn't scared.
あんまし怖がらない。


We also learned that swimming diapers are expensive.
でも赤ちゃんの水泳用のおむつって高いんだなぁ、と学びました。

In Utah, on 24th of July we celebrate the Pioneer Day.
７月２４日はユタの開拓者記念日。


Pioneer Day is the day when the Mormon travelers first reached the Utah valley
開拓記念日はモルモン教の開拓者達がユタの谷についた日のことだ。

Here is the video of Hugo eating. He learned to always clap his hands
when we are about to eat and when we are done eating.
拓賢がたべてるところ。「いただきます」と「ごちそうさま」と
言うと必ずお手てをあわせるようになりました。
